Exhibit Studio + Westwind Design brings seasoned and creative talent to your project with decades of experience in planning and exhibit development. Working with us means having a partner from inception to execution who truly understands your vision. We deliver design concepts and fabricated elements that maintain cohesion across various display pieces and can stand the test of time.

We are a one-stop shop with 25,000 square feet of space as our home base. At Exhibit Studio, we keep our core services in-house under one roof. We leverage the synergy of our in-house design, printing and fabrication team to minimize mistakes, keep budgets down, reduce production times, and have complete control of the project from start to finish.

01

start-up meeting

It all begins with an idea. We work with you to create clear project aims, requirements, and guidelines. By exploring your thoughts, aspirations, content resources, and additional details, we begin to formulate a project overview. This includes project scope, outcomes, budget, stakeholder communication methods, timelines, and milestones.

02

Project work plan

We gather detailed feedback from stakeholders to develop a display plan, story, and spatial layout within the project budget. Our strategy is formulated based on your target audience, main messages, learning objectives, storylines, and connecting the space with experiences. The primary goal is to establish a clear vision as we prepare initial conceptual design plans.

03

Schematic Design

This is the first visual expression of the visitor experience. It shows how the exhibits will look and feel, with options for discussion. This includes design sketches, interactive design, 3D space plans, graphic design concepts, and infrastructure. We establish engagement sessions to incorporate feedback from the broader community and adjust and refine options.

04

Design Development

This stage incorporates community feedback and staff designs to take the schematic design to the next level. We refine the exhibit plan, summarize all components and contents, and outline infrastructure specifications. We prototype graphic samples for review and conduct small mock-ups of physical interactive elements.

05

Construction Documentation

By this stage we reach the final exhibit design, including renderings of the complete exhibition, scale drawings, materials & finishes, and infrastructure such as lighting, electrical, audio/video, etc. We outline all content, images, approval processes, and standards.

06

Fabrication & Installation

Our materials and craftsmanship are held to a high industry standard as we build the construction package components. Regular shop reviews and photo documentation will be provided. We conduct any necessary site demolition and repairs before meticulously installing all components. We inspect for deficiencies, which will then be promptly reviewed and adjusted.

07

Post-Production & Warranty

Exhibit Studio + Westwind Design understands that the materials and workmanship for exhibits must be of the highest quality. We stand behind every exhibit we create with a one-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. A warranty package will be provided outlining the maintenance of exhibit elements and simple repair methods for the longevity of the display.
